Following the success of our first AshTrans® Americas, held in Boston in 2025, we’re set to return to the United States in 2027. Building on this momentum, the next edition will take place in Salt Lake City at the Little America Hotel on 7–8 June 2027.

The AshTrans conference first took place in Copenhagen in September 2013. Whilst well-established and respected coal ash conferences existed covering all technical aspects, such as EuroCoalAsh and World of Coal Ash (WOCA), AshTrans was established as a forum for business leaders involved in all aspects of the supply chain to network and hold commercial talks.

It was Europe’s very first conference for the power by-product industry to meet and discuss the business environment, markets and logistics related to the production and supply of ashes. From the beginning, the cement and concrete industry has been one of the prime sectors engaging with AshTrans, connecting ash producers with users, marketers, traders, transport, shipping companies, equipment providers and materials processors and producers. The utility and competitive advantages of Fly Ash as a ‘Supplementary Cementitious Material’ in concrete are well established. However, the supply market of quality Fly Ashes and other Coal Combustion Products has and continues to dramatically change.
